Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities, to ensure optimal functioning of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Planning
- Develop, schedule, and optimize PM tasks in line with OEM standards and internal best practices
- Plan and schedule inspections, lubrication calibration, and condition-based tasks to ensure equipment reliability
- Ensure that preventative plans are reviewed and updated periodically based on equipment performance
Maintenance Work Management & Scheduling
Convert maintenance notifications into work orders with clear scope, required materials, and labour estimatesSchedule daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance plans in coordination with the production and maintenance teamsAllocate tasks based on artisan availability and skill set, ensuring minimal disruption to operationsResource & Material Coordination
Ensure all materials, tools, and spare parts are available before scheduled maintenance beginsCollaborate with engineering stores and technical administrator to expedite procurement or issue partsTrack consumption of critical spares and maintain minimum stock levels through system updatesEnsure procured materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficientEnsure critical parts are available to minimize downtime.Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.Maintenance System Administration & Data Integrity
Ensure accurate entry and update of technical object data task list, and maintenance history in the CMMSManage maintenance master data integrity and structure (equipment task group, maintenance plans)Generate and distribute reports on work order backlog, PM compliance, and overdue tasksCompliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement
Adhere to SHEQ requirements when planning and coordinating maintenance activitiesEnsure maintenance activities comply with local safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA)Support root cause (RCA) and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives through historical data and KPIsContribute to assess care strategies and reliability improvement projects by providing maintenance insightsPromote a safety-first culture among maintenance staffMaintain records for audits and inspectionsTeam Leadership and Support
Manage documentation, maintain records, and work ordering processingSupervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanical staffProvide training and development to ensure team skill levels remain highAssign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct evaluationsBuilding strong relationships with maintenance teams, production, stores, and engineering stakeholdersGeneral Operational and Financial Management

Minimum N6 / National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalentUp to 4 years' experience (Operational Execution) Planning in FMCG environmentExperience with CMMS and maintenance best practicesBackground in asset care, reliability-centred maintenanceWorking knowledge of production and maintenance integrationMS Excel; SAP; MS PowerPoint; MS Word; E MailBehavioural Competencies
