Purpose of the role

A senior executive is sought to establish and lead a multidisciplinary digital service delivery capability in support of South Africa’s government-wide service delivery transformation. The role includes possible placement in a government department.

The role is focused on driving real, end-to-end delivery of priority digital service initiatives, strengthening institutional delivery capability, and enabling the effective re-use of shared digital building blocks to improve public services.

Role context

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated delivery capability of approximately 10 multidisciplinary professionals spanning product and service delivery, user-centred design, technical integration, and data and delivery analytics, organised into multidisciplinary delivery teams.

The role is intentionally institution-agnostic, designed to operate across government environments as delivery priorities evolve and longer-term institutional arrangements are finalised. For operational effectiveness, the role will be embedded within a primary host government department to support clear reporting, accountability, and governance
