Overview

A purpose-led financial services business based in Cape Town is looking for a qualified finance professional to step into a Financial Manager role. The organisation operates in the development finance space. The environment is young, warm, and collaborative and they’re looking for someone who is hands-on, values-driven, and looking to grow within a close-knit team. This is a full-time, office-based position. You’ll report directly to the CEO and lead a small but capable finance team. The position plays a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations, compliance, and internal reporting, while also contributing to the broader leadership of the business.

Responsibilities

Leading the finance function across several group entities
Preparing and presenting financial reports for internal leadership and the board
Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and audit processes
Overseeing payroll, HR-related admin, and general compliance
Supporting a small internal team including junior finance staff
Driving operational efficiency and internal controls

Qualifications

CA(SA) with 2–3 years post-articles experience

Background in financial services, lending, or development finance beneficial

Strong communication and leadership skills

Empathy, high EQ, and a hands-on, team-first approach

Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems (Xero / SimplePay an advantage)
