Group Financial Manager

We're looking for a seasoned Group Financial Manager to head up financial operations within a niche insurance space. This role is based at a modern office hub in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and offers the opportunity to manage a skilled team while driving strategic financial oversight and reporting.

What the role is about :

You'll oversee the full group financial function, manage a team of accountants, and play a key role in shaping financial strategy, systems, and reporting. The role spans operational delivery, compliance, and advisory input at senior levels.

What you'll be doing :

• Leading a team of accountants and managing resources across regions
• Reviewing reconciliations, control accounts, and monthly processing
• Preparing detailed management reports and analysing performance metrics
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Managing annual financial statements in line with IFRS standards
• Handling statutory reporting (FSCA, Reserve Bank, tax authorities)
• Supporting external audits and submitting audit packs
• Driving improvements in systems and financial processes
• Liaising with internal teams and resolving broker-related queries
