Job Purpose
The job purpose is to identify and eliminate all potential risks in the workplace. Reporting to the Operations Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- National Dip in Safety Management / Environmental Health or Completed SAMTRAC
- 3 - 5 Years minimum relevant manufacturing plant specific SHE Experience
- Computer Skills i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Presentation)
Responsibilities
SHE Policies and Procedures :
Ensure implementation and compliance of SHE Policies and ProceduresOperate according to standard operating procedures and within the parameters of applicable legislationSHE Management :
Implement and maintain adherence to safe working practices and policiesMonitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplaceMaintain health, safety and security standards are always maintainedConduct Planned Task Observations and take appropriate action to address identified risksRaising awareness in workplaces by influencing and engagingSHE Management System :
Comply with the requirements of the SHE Management systemOrganize and implement administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support dutiesSHE Audits :
Conduct SHE Audits daily, weekly, monthlyRaise and action any issues identified with the relevant HODIdentify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplaceConduct risk assessments daily and update records of any improvements and changes requiredDeal with safety, health, and environmental emergenciesConduct preliminary incident investigations into workplace health, safety and environmental incidentsSHE Administration :
