Global medical device company is looking for an Inventory Controller to join their team.
This position is based in Midrand.
Medical / healthcare industry experience is preferred.
Inventory Management
Overseeing and managing inventory levels to ensure that the right amount of stock is available.
Inbound Operations
Receiving : Manage the process of booking in and documenting incoming stock. Order Fulfillment : Pick and select stock items for customer orders and generate the necessary invoices.
Outbound Operations
Warehouse Dispatch : Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of stock from inventory to the warehouse for customer delivery.
Inventory Control
Cyclic Stock Counts : Perform regular inventory counts to maintain accuracy. Monthly Stock Planning : Organize and plan for monthly stock needs, including spares and finished goods. Stock Availability Monitoring : Track stock availability in pick phases, confirming handling units (HU's) and interim storage during receipt and dispatch of finished goods. Stock Control Processes : Review documentation and product codes to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot quantity differences between stock and records. Current Inventory Maintenance : Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, process purchase orders as needed, and track orders during the picking of finished goods. Setting Tolerances for Stock Counts and Posting : Establish acceptable variations for stock counts and update records accordingly. Warehouse Slotting and Rearrangement : Manage the placement of stock within the warehouse using bin-to-bin movements. Stock Write-Offs and Adjustments : Handle stock adjustments, including write-offs and adjustments back into the warehouse. System‑Guided Warehouse Tasks : Create and manage tasks for reach trucks and physical inventory. Master Data Resolution : Address any issues related to master data for products or articles. Fixed Bins Maintenance : Set up and maintain fixed bins for efficient stock storage. Risk Assessment and Process Improvements : Continuously assess risks and identify areas for process improvement. Stock Returns : Managing Customer Returns : Oversee the processing of customer equipment returns and handle redelivery of equipment through stock returns. Documentation : Incoming and Outgoing Stock Management : Maintain all documentation related to incoming and outgoing stock, such as invoices and delivery notes. Inventory Reports and Variance Investigation : Regularly analyze variances by assigning warehouse tasks for physical inventory and stock counts.
Other Responsibilities
Adjust actual stock counts based on computer-generated reports via SAP. Accurate Receipt of Goods : Ensure the precise receipting of goods into the system, including the printing of invoices and delivery notes. Spare Parts Processing for Technicians : Manage the processing of spare parts for technicians, with a focus on preventative maintenance and repairs. Human Resources Management : Ensure familiarity with and adherence to company procedures and policies. Manage company operating hours effectively 08h h30. Incorporate company policies and procedures in business unit operations.
