Kitchen Manager :
Our client based in the Knysna area is looking to grow their team with a dynamic Kitchen Manager.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Opening and closing of the kitchen
- Allocation of duties to junior staff mice-en-place
- Stock control managing stock takes stock rotation portion wastage and spoilage
control
Procurement preparation of stock required for the week based on stock countsMaintain health safety and hygiene systemsMaintain food safety standardsAssist with cooking and managing the flow of food based on orders (pass)Garnishing and platingDealing with guest queries questions and problemsOversight of dietary requirementsTraining of junior staff ongoingAny other ad hoc duties as required by owner / managerQualifications :
Matric coupled with a certificate / diploma in culinary artsFluent in English and AfrikaansBasic computer literacyCompetencies :
Leadership skillsExcellent communicationSelf-motivatedPassionate and keeps abreast of culinary trendsOrganizedMuti-tasking skillsAttention to detailNumeracy skillsRequired Experience :
