Cost Accountant

Job descriptionBachelors Degree in Accounting / Finance. CIMA qualification (or in progress) is highly preferred. 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting. Advanced skills in ERP systems (e.g., SAP and Syspro) and Excel .
Based in the CBD, the business manufactures high-precision components for the water, transport, and energy sectors that are engineered for excellence and produced with financial and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities :
- Calculate standard costs and analyze variances for materials, labour, and overheads.
- Manage inventory valuation, stock counts, and reporting.
- Track and report on project / job costing and profitability.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and support the month-end close.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
