Retail Assistant

Location : Stellenbosch | Property : Luxury Wine Estate | Salary : R12,000 – R15,000 | DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will provide high-class customer service and contribute to the growth and revenue of the retail operation.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain control of stock within the area of responsibility

Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience

Assist clients in finding products and provide styling advice where relevant

Process cash and card payments accurately

Stock shelves and ensure the store is tidy and well-presented

Report discrepancies, issues, and customer feedback to management

Balance cash register with receipts and manage customer refunds

Attach price tags to merchandise and manage stock deliveries

Work within established brand guidelines and standards

Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently

Requirements :

Grade 12 qualification

Preferably 1–2 years’ experience as a retail assistant

Basic administrative skills

Proficient in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and customer service focus

Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele

Enthusiastic, reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
