Operational Assistant & Code 14 Driver with DGOperational Assistant Position - Port Elizabeth. Our company is seeking an Operational Assistant to be based in Port Elizabeth. Preference will be given to those whom have experience in the fuel and port industry. The position offers R12 000 (CTC) per month + applicable overtime. This position falls within the shipping and logistics field i.e. WE DO NOT KEEP 9-5 WORKING HOURS. Do not apply for this position if you have outside commitments that may result in you not being able to attend to a given project that takes place in the early hours, evenings, weekends or holidays. This role requires you to be physically fit as you will be pulling hoses, moving drums and IBC containers and fixing equipment. Random drug and alcohol testing will be performed. Due to the nature of our work we have a Zero Tolerance for Drug and Alcohol. You will be required to provide a clear criminal record check. Requirements : Code 14 license with a valid Dangerous Goods. Medically fit with sober habits. Reliable. Honest. Clear Criminal Record check. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You will require your own vehicle to get to site and home. (The reason we say this is because you cannot rely on public transport to get to site when projects may take place during the middle of the night). Job Description : To attend to and oversee any Waste & Bunker Stream collections, deliveries and / or disposal as directed by the management team. To conduct equipment and vehicle inspections monthly. To conduct site establishments on all activities. To assist with day to day activities as required by the management team. To conduct lubricant pumping and deliveries to vessels. To conduct fuel deliveries to clients in the PE area. Conduct repairs to vehicles and equipment as required.
