Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Teaching Undergraduate Modules
  • Teaching and Supervision : Postgraduate
  • Research Publications
  • Community Service
  • Study Guide and Material Development
  • Support of Research Entity
  • Initiating and Planning of Strategic Research Initiatives

Desired Experience & Qualification

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF level 9).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven and comprehensive teaching experience in higher education.
  • Author of a substantial number of quality accredited research articles / books / chapters in the field.
  • Leading and participating in research projects is preferable.
  • Supervisor of completed masters and PhD studies.

    • Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)

  • Have a proven record of presenting at / attending relevant national and international conferences.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the field.
  • Involvement in teaching and / or research activities at community level.
  • Record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.

    • Behavioural Competencies

  • Team worker.
  • Good interpersonal relations.

    • Remuneration : The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
