Plant Operator - Manufacturing - South AfricaKey purpose : To operate the Bulk Emulsion Manufacturing Plant, delivering ANE manufacturing and ANE transfer operations safely within the guidelines set out in Company SOPs for ANE Manufacturing. Duties and responsibilities : Operate within the Company SHE standardsCompliance with ANE manufacture and plant operating procedures, including : work permits, confined space entry, control of change, PPE application and record keepingEnsure No safety, health and environmental incidentsEnsure No product transport incidentsEnsure No personnel accidents to self or direct reportsEnsure No preventable security incursions or theftsGeneration of hourly and daily production, and reliability reportsEnsure high housekeeping standards and maintain cleanliness of process equipment.Continuous variable production cost reduction (ANE manufacturing within proposed production time and active project participation)Continuous fixed cost reduction (active project participation)Identify hazardous Equipment and systems conditions and raising maintenance job requestActive participation in drafting and revision of operating proceduresPersonal development towards higher-level capabilityActive participation in continuous improvement of operating systems advantaging customer and the CompanyParticipation in the implementation of new customer-focused product formulations (and types) in conjunction with the Product and Process Implementation and Support (PPIS) teamCollaboration with all other plant operators and all other departmentsActive participation in plant meetings, site meetings, and demonstrable cooperation with Company and Customers staff at site.Assist Operations and Site Manager with local communities (in conjunction with client) to facilitate community knowledge and acceptance of site operationsEducation and Experience : High-school level educationTrades background highly regardedMinimum 2 years experience in plant operationsLicence to drive, and to operate a forkliftEssential Skills : Understand management principles and practices.Self-starterTeam playerSpoken English preferredKnowledge of computer operation preferred
