Duties and responsibilities:
Orientate students both in the skills laboratory and clinical facilities.
Facilitate clinical teaching and learning as well as assessments of students in the clinical learning environment.
Accompany students in the clinical facility for continuous supervision and support.
Participate in an ongoing evaluation of clinical learning experiences.
Monitor students clinical movements and keep necessary records.
Maintain a portfolio of evidence of own work and submit regularly as stipulated.
Perform other clinical duties assigned.
Participate in assessment competence and remedial support of students.
Provide constructive feedback and coaching of students.
Apply effective communication interpersonal and conflict management skills to foster collaboration among students clinical staff and patients.
Mediate between the UFS School of Nursing and Clinical Practice.

Inherent requirements:
Bachelors degree in Nursing on NQF Level 8 or equivalent (attach a copy).
Registration with the South Africa Nursing Council as a professional nurse (General Psychiatry Community) and Midwife (attach a copy).
Additional qualification in Primary Care Nursing (attach a copy).
Additional qualification in Nursing Education (attach a copy).
A valid drivers license (attach a copy).

Recommendations:
Masters in Nursing on NQF level 9 (attach a copy).
Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an assessor and/or moderator (attach a copy).
