Job description

Job Purpose

To assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Head Chef with menu planning and food preparation.
  • Supervise line cooks, commis, and other staff.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory.
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong culinary and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage pressure and multitask.
  • Good communication and mentoring ability.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Culinary diploma / qualification.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a professional kitchen, including supervisory experience.
