Job description

Litigation Secretary required for a reputable company based in East London

Requirements :

  • Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word; basic working knowledge of Excel advantageous.
  • Experience with GhostPractice accounting system beneficial (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Prior experience within a legal environment (Magistrate’s Court, Regional Court, or High Court) will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform dictaphone typing and general typing duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Screen and manage incoming calls and correspondence.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation records.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the legal team.
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
  • Professional, reliable, and client-focused approach.
