Job Description

Supporting the Cold Chain monitoring and measuring processes.  Share records, trends, and information with relevant stakeholders.

Key Performance Outputs

Operations

  • Monitor cold chain across sea, air, and road freight using platforms; flag temperature issues.
  • Maintain and update temperature monitor details in system.
  • Download, file, and save shipment temperature reports.
  • Manage inventory of temperature monitors (ordering, replenishing, recording).
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers.

Key Interactions

  • Internal : Logistics, container loading sites, grower success team, commercial team.
  • External : Service providers, receivers / clients at destination

    • Requirements

    Qualification / Experience

  • Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric
  • Work experience in the fruit industry is beneficial.
  • Involvement / exposure to Cold chain management beneficial .

    • Functional / Technical

  • Computer literacy : MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Email etiquette
  • ERP system experience

    • Leadership / Behavioural

  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, problem-solving skills.
  • Detail and results orientated with the end customer needs kept in consideration.
  • Needs to be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to act with tact and discretion.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, as required.

    • Requirements

    Work experience in the fruit industry is beneficial. Involvement / exposure to Cold chain management beneficial.
