Overview
The LVAD and ECMO Transplant Coordinator is a critical member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the comprehensive care of patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs). This role spans pre-implantation evaluation peri-operative management and long-term outpatient follow-up. The coordinator ensures optimal patient outcomes by facilitating education interdisciplinary collaboration and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
Education
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in SA SANC.
Intensive care qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a Cardiothoracic facility.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Work experience
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience; prior experience in cardiovascular care or critical care essential.
