To shape the climate risk management framework, policies and minimum standards for the Standard Bank Group in order to influence decisions pertaining to reducing carbon emissions in line with net zero targets, providing better sustainability reporting and transparency, and adapting to unavoidable climatic risks. Provide subject matter expertise in quantifying, reporting and managing the BU portfolio climate risk profile.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification : Post Graduate Degree

Field of Study : Business Commerce, Environmental Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Quantitative Studies

Experience Required :

• At least 8 years experience in quantitative model development. Proven track record of being a specialist in the field and providing expert advice and guidance to senior leaders.
• At least 8 years experience and deep expertise in key financial risk types such as Credit or Market risk, with an excellent understanding of key risk management tools and measurement techniques, as well as portfolio stress testing, scenario analysis, regulatory frameworks, and model development and validation.
• At least 2 years experience in the integration and quantification of ESG risks.
