Job purpose :
Provide guidance in matters relating to law. Researching and evaluating different risk factors and offering
proactive advice on possible legal issues, whilst ensuring legal compliance for the Company and its
subsidiaries.
Tasks and duties :
- Provide support and advice on all legal matters
- Draft legal opinions, memoranda and briefing documents
- Provide commercially sensible and cost-effective legal advice for service provider contracts
management
- Conduct legal analysis and research legal matters
- Draft documents, letters and contracts
- Negotiation of SLA’s with suppliers and documentation thereof
- Formulating formalities regarding settlements of disputes.
- Monitor the implementation of the legal clauses.
- Draft legal documents for IOT projects, mergers and acquisitions
- Contract management for all divisions
- Ensure compliance to South African laws and regulations
- Provide arbitration, litigation and mediation support
- Application of relevant labour legislation
- Oversee IR within the company : Resolution of employment grievances, chairing of disciplinary
hearings etc
- Provide Company Secretarial Services
