Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Development & Engineering : Spearhead the development and engineering of monitoring devices tailored for lithium phosphate batteries, ensuring high compatibility and optimal performance.
- Research & Innovation : Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in battery monitoring and management systems.
- Prototype Design & Validation : Design and develop prototype monitoring devices, conducting rigorous testing and validation to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Supplier Coordination : Collaborate with suppliers to source essential components and materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- System Integration : Work closely with production and design teams to seamlessly integrate monitoring devices into comprehensive battery systems.
- Continuous Improvement : Regularly update and refine monitoring devices based on feedback, performance metrics, and technological advancements to maintain a leading edge in innovation.
- Technical Expertise : Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and external partners regarding device functionality, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Detailed Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of the design, development, and testing processes, including specifications, schematics, and performance metrics.
- Compliance & Safety : Adhere to industry safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the development and production process.
Requirements :
Tertiary Education in related fieldProven experience in designing and developing monitoring devices or electronic systems, with a strong preference for experience in battery management applications.Deep understanding of lithium phosphate battery technology, including its characteristics, performance metrics, and safety considerations.Proficiency in CAD software for design and simulation.Experience with hardware and software development, including microcontrollers, sensors, and data acquisition systems.Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.Salary : R40 000 - R45 000
