REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12, relevant qualification highly advantageous
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in procurement / logistics imports & exports (daily basis)
- Own transport with a valid SA drivers license
- Pastel experience advantageous
- Experience with Letter of Credit payment method - an advantage
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint proficient
- Must be a team player
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently
- German language would be an advantage
- Work permit, if necessary, must be available
DUTIES
Sourcing / procuring various products from local & international suppliersCompiling of quotations for cross-trade & import shipments to customersLiaising with freight forwarders to obtain air / sea courier quotationsIssuing orders to various international & local suppliersExpedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule collectionsDaily follow-up with suppliers on outstanding ordersArrange & fast track shipments via Courier / Air / SeaUpdating customers on their orders and shipping delivery timesKeeping track of customers account in terms of payments due / statementsMaintaining good relationships with suppliers and customersProduct calculationDuties are not limited to the above, the position will also include other secretarial duties should assistance be required.Salary : Negotiable dependent on experience
