What Were Looking For

Were looking for a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie Pastry with :

  • A valid South African ID or work permit
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • At least 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie in a hotel or high end restaurant
  • A formal culinary or pastry qualification (essential)
  • Strong technical skills in pastry, baking, and dessert presentation
  • A creative flair for developing new recipes and modern plating styles
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A commitment to consistency, quality, and kitchen discipline
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

What Youll Do

  • Oversee the pastry section and ensure smooth day to day operations
  • Prepare and present high quality pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods
  • Support menu planning and seasonal dessert creation
  • Supervise and guide Commis Chefs within your section
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards in all areas
  • Manage stock control, portioning, and minimising of wastage
  • Ensure precision in every detail from ingredient preparation to final presentation
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive and Sous Chefs to uphold brand standards
