Commercial Partnerships Manager

Northern Suburbs, Cape Town

12-Month Contract (High chance of going permanent)

A well-established organisation in the Northern Suburbs is looking for a confident, relationship-driven Commercial Partnerships Manager . This role sits in a busy Commercial & Communications environment and needs someone who can manage sponsors, oversee commercial rights, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned — calmly and professionally.

If you’re organised, sharp, and know how to handle high-level partners without dropping the ball, this will suit you.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership & Stakeholder Management

Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with commercial partners.

Act as the primary point of contact for sponsor queries, contractual matters and invoicing.

Conduct regular catch-ups and provide structured feedback.

Identify value-add opportunities to enhance the partner experience.

Rights Delivery & Execution

Ensure commercial and sponsorship rights are delivered accurately and on time across teams, events and internal departments.

Manage rights matrices for upcoming events and ensure branding and activations are correctly executed.

Coordinate closely with marketing, communications, legal, operations, and external agencies.

Commercial Protection

Monitor the commercial landscape — including digital platforms — to protect partner rights.

Flag and address any rights infringements through the correct channels.

Maintain professional communication when breaches occur.

Operational & Administrative Management

Manage the budget related to rights delivery and present monthly updates.

Support sponsorship retention, renewals and new commercial opportunities.

Ensure clear reporting and alignment between internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications

Sales Management or Marketing Diploma (Essential)

Experience

3–5 years managing commercial or sponsorship rights (Essential)

1–3 years’ experience managing budgets (Essential)

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication & stakeholder relationship skills

Excellent attention to detail

Project management capability

Resilience and ability to manage pressure

Strong digital and social media understanding

Solid computer literacy

Valid driver’s license
