Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in monitoring, implementing and auditing SHERQ in a power plant or process plant environment.

Key Responsibilities
Overall responsibility to report all safety & health, OHSA compliance, environmental compliance (waste and emissions) and quality assurance for the O&M operations and maintenance activities to the Plant Manager.
Analyzing the organisation’s strategy to ensure alignment with facilities management best practice.
Updating facilities policies and processes to align with industry standards and legislation.
Implementing strategies for balancing maintenance and upgrades to the working environment.
Conduct routine site inspections and auditing.
Ensure compliance with industry health, safety and environmental working practices and regulations.
Manage and actively participate in plant activities while maintaining focus on overall company objectives and consistency through HSE management.
Ensure to provide induction training to visitors and contractors / subcontractors.
Maintain company policies and HSE program by providing education to all field employees and contractors.
Responsible for recording and reporting of all worker injury documentation.
Conduct a training session for the employees about the HSE protocol.
Identify non-compliant, incomplete or substandard procedures for activities involving employees and / or contractors in the plant.
Work with operations and maintenance employees to promote permit to work system and ensure safety of everyone involved in the processes.
Responsible for the Occupational Health Team and providing support in all aspects of post-accident / injury treatment process.
Manage and participate in the continuous auditing of HSE management systems.
Closely monitor all incidents with preventative measure and communicate lessons learnt to all stakeholders.
Lead on-site HSE training programs designed to motivate field personnel.
Ensure to conduct walk around checks regularly to monitor HSE controls.
Ensure availability of first aid measures at locations.
Ensure availability of firefighting equipment and inspection of its status.
Collect environmental deviations and ensure identification, implementation of corrective actions.
Plan HSE emergency drills, review reports and update procedures.
Ensure continuous control on identified risks.
Monitor storage, collection and disposal of wastes.
Ensure the availability of medical facilities and medicines.
Fulfil the role of Environmental Officer in terms of the act.
