The Viator Experiences Engineering team, distributed across Europe, manages viator.com, mobile apps, and supporting infrastructure. We support operators in building their businesses and enable third parties to utilize our inventory, providing tools for our customer service team to deliver world-class service globally.

We’re seeking a Software Engineer II to join our fast-growing team. The role is open to candidates within 2–3 hours of our Lisbon, Saldanha office. We embrace flexible work arrangements, including remote work with periodic in-person gatherings for team connection and collaboration.

This is a front-end focused full-stack role. You will primarily work on front-end development, with occasional backend projects. You don’t need to be an expert in backend development initially; we will support your learning on the job.

Our environment is fun and friendly, emphasizing productivity. Engineers work closely with product managers and designers, participating in the entire software development cycle, with code released to production every few days in a daily release cycle.

The tech stack includes Java, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, on AWS. Experience with all technologies is not required; a strong desire to learn is essential.
