Medipost Pharmacy has a new and exciting opportunity for a Qualified Post Basic Assistant in the Chronic Dispensing Unit which is being conducted for the Department of Health in the Western Cape.
Primary purpose of the job
- Dispensing of patient parcels according to Standard operating procedures.
- Ensure each item and parcel that leaves the bagging station is for the correct patient, labelled correctly and in the correct patient bag.
- Ensure error parcels are speedily force closed using the correct reason code and taken to the exception station.
- Replace bags at the bagging unit once it runs out.
- Ensure there are sufficient stock of TEE’s when you are working at the single line stations.
- Inform supervisor of any bagging, label or item related problems.
- Assisting with wave close out where needed.
- Work with absolute accuracy and speed to achieve the team target of 2000 orders per hour.
- Any other task as requested by line manager within the employee’s scope of practice :
- Assisting the runners in the event of work flowing too slowly.
- Assisting at the exception station when required.
- Assisting the fine picking and pre-dispensing department if operational pressure requires it.
- Assisting the consolidation department if operational pressure requires it.
- Partaking in the yearly stock take.
- Reporting any challenges that influence the operations to the supervisor or line manager.
- Keeping high housekeeping standards.
Qualifications : Matric
Qualified Post Basic Assistant (Registered with SAPC)
Experience :
Working in a warehouse / production environment
Stock
2 Year experience in DoH pharmaceutical environment.
