Job Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Office Assistant to join our team in Durban South Africa. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills as well as a strong attention to detail. The Office Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of our office. Key Responsibilities : - Greet and assist clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member - Manage and maintain office supplies and equipment - Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail - Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings - Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing and data entry - Maintain and update client and employee records - Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations - Perform general office duties such as filing photocopying and scanning - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective office operations - Other duties as assigned by management Requirements : - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as an office assistant or in a similar role - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software - Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information - Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles is a plus Contract Details : This is a full-time permanent position based in Durban South Africa. The working hours are from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm Monday to Friday. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
