We are looking for a media-savvy , pro-active and confident networker – with at least 10 years of commercial experience in both Internal and external communication within the Engineering / Energy / Water Treatment Sector - to take on the key role of MARKETING & COMMUNICATION MANAGER.

The successful candidate will be required to successfully promote the company’s profile to all stakeholders both internally & externally.

The ideal candidate would have experience within the Engineering Sector, English as their 1st language, the natural ability to think on their feet, excellent content writing skills, creatively capable with photography & videography, and have a proven track record of dealing with the media by press coverage.

SUMMARY OF ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manage all media and PR.
Ensure regular media coverage by interacting with various press portals and key industry influencers
Become known as the “go to” for all communication
Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies
Develop and execute digital marketing strategies across all online channels
Assist with any exhibitions & corporate events that the company participates in
Organize press conferences and media events
Monitor and respond to media inquiries
Manage crisis communications when necessary
Identify opportunities for positive media coverage
Create impactful content (in English) and ensure timeous implementation through the various channels
Assist with content for website and any company updates required
Ensure excellent relationships are established with all service providers
Ensure CI is maintained
Ensure continuous communication with all clients in a professional manner
Develop the company’s national communication projects
Collaborate with other departments to gather and disseminate information
Prepare presentations, speeches, and talking points for company executives
Ensure that the communication budget is not exceeded

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Must have a minimum of 10 years commercial experience (int & ext comms)

Matric + Relevant tertiary qualification

Must have experience withing the Engineering / Energy / Water Treatment Sector

Must have a proven track record of dealing with the media.

Must be proficient in English and have Excellent Writing Skills

Must be a Confident, pro-active team player that is a well-spoken networker

Must be great at SEO & Web design

Ideally some experience with Photography & videography

Must have Excellent attention to detail

Must be pro-active and results driven
