Job description

Infrasol a Division in Datacentrix is looking for a Sales Specialist who will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying business opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting solutions in LAN / WAN infrastructure, electrical and power supply, access control and CCTV, data centre solutions, cooling and environmental monitoring, audio-visual systems, wireless data solutions and fire detection and suppression.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Matric \ Grade 12 (Compulsory)
  • Diploma / Degree in Sales, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on ICT and infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and engage potential clients to promote and sell solutions across the specified technology areas.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Technical Knowledge & Solution Selling

  • Provide expert advice on LAN / WAN infrastructure, electrical and power supply, access control and CCTV, data centre solutions, cooling and environmental monitoring, audio‑visual solutions, wireless data solutions, and fire detection and suppression .
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and recommend tailored solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements, competitor activities, and new technologies to enhance sales strategies.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients when required.
  • Client Relationship Management

  • Develop long‑term partnerships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a CRM system to track sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline opportunities.
  • Address client concerns and ensure smooth post‑sales service coordination with internal teams.
  • Tender and Proposal Management

  • Participate in bid processes by preparing sales inputs for tenders, including pricing, technical specifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with bid teams and internal stakeholders to develop competitive proposals.
  • Ensure alignment with client specifications, compliance standards, and business objectives.
  • Sales Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline status, key deals, and market feedback.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring profitability and growth.
  • Additional Qualifications

  • Proven track record in selling LAN / WAN infrastructure, electrical and power supply, access control and CCTV, data centre solutions, cooling and environmental monitoring, audio‑visual, wireless data, and fire detection and suppression solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking, power solutions, security systems, and data centre environments.
  • Experience working with OEMs, system integrators and technology vendors.
  • Strong understanding of Technology Certifications on Cabling, Networking, Electrical and Data Centre environments.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety standards and Compliance requirements.
