Gardener

Intimate Private Villa close to Stellenbosch (Kayamandi) is looking for a Gardener.

You will excel in this role if you are passionate about sustainability, work well as part of a team and enjoy contributing to the overall success of garden and landscaping teams.

Staff Transport from Kayamandi.


Duties:

Take ownership of the veggie garden and indoor plants
Assist the team with maintaining the garden
Planting / plant maintenance
Ability to assess landscaped conditions to ensure a healthy growing environment
Communicate accurately and timely to ensure speed of quality of services
Maintain the gardens and landscapes ensuring plan growth, design and neatness in line with the aesthetic style
Reduce any accident or damage to equipment, loss of tools and supplies
Adhere to and maintain health and safety standards

Requirements:

Matric would be advantageous
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
Must be able to operate garden equipment and tools
Must be a team player
Familiar with mixing of soils and fertilisers
Making and transplanting of seedlings and cuttings
