Learner Manufacturing Operator

Learner Manufacturing Operator – Newcastle (Chemical Site) Job Objective The company will provide workplace experiential training for a period of twelve months in order to obtain experience as a chemical engineer / chemical manufacturing operator. Key Duties :

• Work closely with mentor and coach assigned to you.
• Familiarize yourself with the plant layout by studying the PID diagrams.
• Making drawings of sections and asking questions to the SMO & PC in the area.
• Must study the SOP of the section and write tests.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all the chemicals used in the specific area. Study MSDS of all products in the area.
• Must know and understand the operation of all the equipment used in the specific area. Must learn how to start up and shut down the equipment the specific area.
• Learn to identify and detect faults in equipment when under operation.
• Ensure safety standards are maintained and adhered to. Key Requirements :
• The ideal candidate must have completed N 4 / 5 / 6 Chemical Engineering Theory, OR S4 in Chemical Engineering.
