Overview
Our client, a well-established company in the engineering sector, is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer / Representative to join their team in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will focus on driving business growth and servicing clients within the mining industry, while also supporting smaller industrial clients in the surrounding province. This role requires a technically minded sales professional who can build strong relationships, provide solutions-driven consultations, and actively canvass the region’s mines and industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Conduct on-site visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored engineering solutions.
- Drive new business development to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Liaise with internal engineering teams to ensure accurate solutions and project support.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals.
- Provide after-sales support and technical consultation to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Bsc or BEng Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role within the engineering sector.Proven experience within the mining sector.Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate complex solutions into customer value.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client visits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
