Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Somewhere. A growing U.S.-based company specializing in commercial pavement marking is looking for a driven and results-oriented SDR to join their remote team. This is described as Fully Remote in South Africa and offered as an Independent Contractor arrangement with compensation listed as $1,300 USD / month + commissions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- High-volume cold calling using CoStar (30K-40K+ contacts available), identifying key decision-makers and qualifying leads.
- Research and identify potential leads.
- Initiating meaningful conversations with property managers, construction leads and facility stakeholders to understand their pavement marking needs.
- Setting appointments and gathering detailed estimate requirements to ensure smooth handoffs to the estimator or sales lead.
- Following up on quotes, nudging leads toward decision-making, and identifying when a site visit is necessary.
- Assisting with basic estimating tasks using tools like Google Earth (training provided), learning how to scope smaller projects and log key details into the system.
- Managing and updating CRM records efficiently, ensuring lead data, call notes and project status are current.
- Thinking like a partner, not just a caller—suggesting lunch-and-learns, identifying big opportunities, and improving sales workflows with the team.
What We’re Looking For
2-4 years of outbound cold calling experienceStrong understanding of sales outreach strategies and lead qualificationAdvanced English fluency (C1 level). You’ll be speaking with U.S.-based clients regularlyExperience with CRM systems and ability to manage large volumes of data accuratelyFast, independent worker with strong instincts, no need to be micromanagedComfortable learning new tools (like Google Earth) and taking initiative when things are unclearSharp, proactive communicator who knows when to escalate a lead or bring in team supportThe Ideal Fit
