Head - HIV / Aids & TB - Cape TownELIGIBILITYCLOSING DATE14.07.2023REFERENCE NUMBERHS 28 / 23 ExtSALARYTCOE R 1330 547 p.aDEPARTMENTCity HealthDIRECTORATECOMMUNITY SERVICES andHEALTHHead - HIV / Aids & TBRequirementsRelevant medical degree or nursing qualification (e.g. MBChB; BCurNursing)MPH or similar qualification will be an added advantageCurrent registration with the Health Professions Council of SouthAfrica (HPCSA) or South African Nursing Council (SANC)Five (5) years’ relevant experience in the field of HIV / AIDS / STI andTB.Key Performance AreasEnsure effective implementation of TB, STI, HTS, PMTCT and other HIVprevention, care and treatment programmes by developingstrategic plans and policies; conducting operational research;managing internal and external funds and liaising with externalstakeholdersEnsure implementation of the multisectoral strategy in order tomainstream HIV / AIDS in the City and engage in a community-basedresponse to HIV / AIDS and TBEnsure effective implementation of the National TB controlprogrammeManage the HAST unit which includes managing the staff; planningprogramme schedule; co-ordinate work activities and action plans;identify training needs; monitoring and evaluation of budgets andsupporting the City Health Finance unit on HIV / TB grantsGeneral support to the HAST Coordinators and other support staff inthe areas by providing training, capacity development andmentoring; providing relevant information to the Director City Healthand Area Managers / PPHC Heads to keep them up to date withdevelopments in the field of HIV / AIDs / STI and TB and to assist theDirector :  City Health and Manager : Specialised Health by respondingto and auctioning tasks assigned in order to support primaryhealthcare.How to ApplySuitable qualified candidatesReport job
