Social Content Editor
We are seeking a highly creative Social Editor who brings supreme attention to detail and strong social editing skills to our dynamic team. The role involves collaborating with producers, copywriters, strategists, and account managers to create beautiful work and campaigns for a wide range of brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Build offline edits from storyboards and creative briefs to tell compelling stories and communicate the intended message effectively.
- Edit and finesse video, including colour grading (using LUT / guide grade), cleaning up footage, and adding graphics or graphic text for social and digital content.
- Audio mix music, voiceover and simple sound effects within edits.
- Collaborate with producers and editors from post‑production houses and creative teams to align with project objectives and vision.
- Maintain organised systems and meticulously label project files.
- Store and archive all footage and final material according to required protocols.
- Select music from licensed music libraries as needed.
- Source and select images from stock libraries when required.
- Manage personal workflow and provide regular progress updates to senior team members.
- Incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders, including producers and clients.
- Identify opportunities to improve the editing process and overall workflow.
- Stay current with editing techniques, software updates, and industry trends.
Qualifications
Competency in working with motion graphics templates, Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.Experience in colour grading for broadcast is an advantage.High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; Nuke experience and DaVinci Resolve knowledge are a plus.Solid understanding of cloud‑based services and file management.Effective communication skills and strong team collaboration.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Passion for storytelling and visual narrative techniques.Creative, positive, and solutions‑oriented mindset.Strong organisational and goal‑oriented work ethic.Technical understanding of television and digital content production.Strong problem‑solving skills and time management abilities.Additional Requirements
Relevant tertiary education in film, media, or a related creative field.Proficient in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.Familiarity with the broadcast and digital video landscape, particularly in a beauty context, is preferred.Offer
