FT Retail Banker - Mountain View, AR - Job at First Security Bank. First Security Bank is seeking a professional, energetic and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Banker. This position requires on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Accepts and processes transactions from the bank's customers by personal contact, mail, and night deposit; identify customer needs, explain financial products, help resolve customer issues; cross-train to perform retail banking specialist duties (e.g., opening new accounts, establishing direct deposit accounts, opening retirement accounts) and provide quality customer service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, issue Cashier's Checks, cash checks with proper identification and adhere to retail policies; examine checks for funds availability and identify counterfeit currency; refer customers to other bank services as necessary.
• Visually review customer transactions and verify necessary information; count and balance cash; manage cash vault and daily cash procedures; balance and balance machine where applicable; assist with night deposits, mail deposits, and ATM deposits as needed.
• Promote bank services and products following cross-selling procedures; refer customers to appropriate departments for unresolved issues.
• Adhere to opening / closing procedures, safety and security measures, and privacy of customer information; inform managers of outages or problems exceeding $50.00 and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Complete special requests (e.g., redeeming U.S. Savings Bonds, closing accounts, ordering checks, exchanging foreign currencies, safe-deposit box procedures) and provide account printouts and research as needed.
• Balance ATM and main cash vault; answer questions and provide information on bank services; assist retail staff with unusual transactions and difficult inquiries; identify fraudulent transactions and stay informed on suspicious activities.
• Obtain training and become proficient in executing wire transfers; operate internal systems and hardware; maintain compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Hours

Regularly Scheduled Hours / Week : 40+ hours; Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am – 5 : 15 pm; extended hours may be required.
