- The Key Purpose of the Intercompany Manager is to provide strategic oversight, and take ownership of the Africa Zone Intercompany related activities and the full end-to-end accounting of the Intercompany transactions, across all twelve (12) markets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
Managing the health of all Intercompany balance sheet accounts in terms of ageing, validity of transactions within the account, debit transactions in credit accounts and vice versaIdentify risks, respective route causes and identify gap-closing action plans for all Intercompany processesEngagement with all functions within the business to provide a detailed review of the Intercompany processEstablishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles internally in line with global policies and externally with regards to Financial Reporting StandardsEnsuring adherence and proper documentation for MICS and SOX Controls and SLAs, to satisfy audit and statutory requirementsAdhere to Internal Control protocols and co-ordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual auditSupport the business on strategic projects by ensuring correct accounting records are set up through systemsEnsures the provision of accurate, on-time financial reporting to the business to support decision makingMakes sure that the team works efficiently, is customer-centric and delivers on business expectationsEnsure confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, records or processes associated with services providedProviding ongoing financial accounting technical and business support to the Zone for all underlying accounting process in the towerGuide the team in identifying process improvements, excellence and process automation and efficiency opportunities to improve the way we operate and work closely with technology to leverage systemAdhere to weekly and monthly targets and all relevant SLAs and KPIs.Present month-end reporting to stakeholders in line with their expectationsUnderstanding of Exchange Control Legislation and Company RequirementsPreparation of presentation decks to ROA Directors, VPs and Global stakeholders.Understanding of Mark Up calculations and reporting.Understanding of BLS and Non-BLNS export country documentation processes and complianceKey Attributes and Competencies :

Post Graduate finance qualificationMinimum of 3-5 years relative experienceBusiness knowledge and commercial acumenKnowledge of imports and exports and Transfer Pricing preferredComputer skills (MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with particularly strong Excel skillsKnowledge of SAP, Syspro, Financial Close and Consolidation System, COGNOS System, Power BI preferredUnderstanding of Agile, Agile WOW and SystemsAccounting / Financial Services jobs
