Job descriptionTo oversee all farming operations for high-quality core fruit (apples and pears) and stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots) in the Koue Bokkeveld, ensuring sustainable practices, consistent yields and premium standards, while leading and developing a committed farm team. Plan, implement and manage all orchard operations from cultivation through to harvest Farming scope : management of ±80–100 ha across both core fruit and stone fruit orchards Maintain optimal crop quality, yield and sustainable farming practices Lead, motivate and manage farm workers, ensuring a safe and productive working environment Oversee budgets, resources and the maintenance of equipment and farm infrastructure Monitor irrigation, soil health and crop protection programmes Coordinate with packing, marketing and distribution teams to meet export and local market demands Uphold high standards of quality, productivity and environmental responsibility Degree in Agriculture or related field Proven experience in managing large-scale orchards, ideally across both core fruit and stone fruit Strong technical knowledge of orchard management, irrigation and crop protection Excellent people-management and communication skills Hands-on, detail-oriented leader with strong problem-solving ability High level of computer literacy Fluent in Afrikaans and proficient in English Valid driver’s licence Passion for the Koue Bokkeveld and a commitment to sustainable farming Lucrative remuneration package including : Company accommodation on the farm Pension and medical aid allowance Electricity and water allowance Annual quota of fresh produce from the farm crops Opportunity to join a family-oriented business with a proud farming legacy Agriculture / Agro-Allied jobs
