Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Therapist to provide adult teletherapy services. This fully remote role involves delivering high-quality therapeutic support to adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a safe and supportive virtual environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth platforms for adult clients.
Assess clients mental health needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practices.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to provide comprehensive care.
Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care and teletherapy innovations.
Provide crisis intervention support as needed and ensure client safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

Current license to practice as a therapist or counselor in the relevant state or country.

Proven experience in adult mental health therapy, ideally with teletherapy exposure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage clients virtually.

Proficient with telehealth technology and digital record-keeping systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice.

Experience

Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to adults.

Experience with teletherapy or online counseling platforms is highly desirable.

Demonstrated success in developing individualized treatment plans and measurable outcomes.

Working Hours

Full-time or part-time positions available with flexible scheduling .

Availability to work evenings and weekends may be required based on client needs.

100% remote work, with the ability to conduct sessions securely from home.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques.

Skilled in virtual client engagement, active listening, and empathetic communication.

Ability to manage multiple clients while maintaining high-quality care standards.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and other privacy and compliance requirements.

Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
