Job descriptionReview and interpret client requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, perform engineering calculations. Coordinate with the design office, reviewing and validating designs and drawings. Ensure strict compliance with ASME code requirements. Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, inspection, testing, and commissioning. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve project related queries. Ensure all compliance is carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Minimum 4 years of technical experience within high pressure vessels and manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of ASME code requirements and manufacturing regulations. Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and material specifications. Knowledge of quality control processes, material properties, heat treatment, NDT, and inspection methods. Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. Proficient in MS Office and exposure to ERP / MRP systems and production management tools. B.Eng / BSc Mech Eng. Professional Engineer candidacy or registration advantage. Project management qualification advantageous. Piping Preparation & Draughting : Prepare all piping isometric drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and standards. Drawing Control & Documentation : Manage drawing registers, revision control, and communication of updates to fabrication and production teams. Production Software Management : Input, track, and maintain fabrication data within the company's digital production and quality management software. Interdepartmental Coordination : Liaise with engineering, QC, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy, material readiness, and workflow efficiency. Quality & Compliance : Verify drawings meet technical and quality requirements, assisting in resolving fabrication or design-related queries. Continuous Improvement : Contribute to system enhancements, workflow improvements, and integration of draughting and production data to streamline project execution. Educational background : National Diploma or related technical discipline. Years of experience : 2–5 years in piping draughting, preparation, or detailing within fabrication, marine, or oil & gas environments. Technical proficiency : Skilled in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent 2D / 3D design software. Computer literacy : Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with production or quality tracking software advantage. Additional skills : Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple drawing packages simultaneously. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Project Engineer Nrf Sarao – Cape Town, Western Cape
Core Skills : Expertise in SAP PPM system configuration and setup. Strong ability in business process analysis and solution implementation aligned with organizational objectives. Experience in project execution, ensuring deliverables meet scope, quality, and performance standards. Sound understanding of integration points between SAP PPM and other SAP modules.
Requirements :
- 8+ years of SAP experience.
- SAP PPM Certification.
- Participation in more than 5 full‑cycle SAP implementations.
- Local Government experience would be advantageous.
- Candidate resides in Cape Town for in‑office engagements.
- Experience with SAP integration with third‑party applications will be beneficial.
