SUMMARY :

A dynamic Agricultural Seed Producer is seeking a Sales Representative to promote and sell seeds to farmers and agricultural businesses, while providing support and advice within the Middelburg region.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements for the role :

Must have tertiary education in agriculture
Minimum 1 year experience within the agriculture sector
Good track record and contacts in the area is advantageous
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel
Above-average communication skills, specifically in Afrikaans with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and experience are important

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

Developing market shares.

Contributing to sales planning and budgets.

Assisting with the arrangement of farmer’s days and other marketing / promotional activities.

Coordinating product trials within the region.

Collecting and reporting up-to-date market information.

Maintaining proficiency in sales skills and product knowledge.

Delivering products to clients when necessary.

Coordinating all commercial activities within the region.

Managing customer accounts.

Providing technical assistance to clients where possible.
