Overview
We are looking for an experienced EC&I Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for water and wastewater treatment projects . This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, offering the opportunity to take projects from concept through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical control systems aligned with control philosophies and project specifications.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and documentation using AutoCAD , ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Cost, source, and specify system components to ensure designs are efficient, cost-effective, and reliable .
- Control Systems
- Program PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, and others) and integrate with client SCADA systems .
- Assemble / build electrical control systems of varying scales, from single panels to MCC containers , with a team of technicians.
- Oversee transformer integration, electrical panel COCs, and main power supply installations (including cable burying standards).
- Site Execution
- Conduct site assessments to determine project electrical requirements.
- Lead on-site EC&I installation, including tie-ins for power supply, earthing, and plant integration.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead testing and commissioning of control systems and PLC programming.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues during startup.
- Lead and mentor a team of 5+ engineers and technicians , overseeing design, documentation, procurement, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.
Core Skills & Experience
PLC Programming : Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other platforms.Electrical System Design : Control panels, MCCs, instrumentation, pumps, and motors.Fabrication & Assembly : Building full electrical control systems in-house and on-site.Documentation : Electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and COCs.Site Work : Installation, integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning.Procurement & Supplier Coordination : Managing equipment sourcing, quality, and delivery.Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and project specifications .What We’re Looking For
