SHL South Africa is looking for a Head of Commercial New Business to focus on new customer acquisition and gaining market share in South Africa and Africa. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will motivate a new business team to drive significant growth and unlock the possibilities of business through the power of people, science and technology. What you will be doing
- Lead the New Business team to ensure maximum performance on bookings targets and operational excellence, fostering new relationships and networks within a diverse portfolio of customers.
- Accountable for the acquisition and initial growth of new accounts, delivering a stream of satisfied customers to the Account Management team.
- Joint accountability with the Country Manager to develop the sales strategy for new business, with a focus on enterprise size accounts and drive strategy development and implementation across the new business team.
- Contributes to the overall management of the ZA BU with driving the BU culture and objectives and represent and continually drive promotion of the SHL brand in the market.
- Effective database management through internal and external sources such as Salesforce.com, Highspot, social media, news reports / press releases
- Monitor and drive sales performance metrics and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and weekly forecasts.
- Communicate the SHL vision and strategy and align team and individual goals to achieve business results.
- Supports SHL’s people strategy by attracting, developing and retaining high performing talent.
What we are looking for
Essential :
Extensive experience in sales, including significant sales management experience.Coaches team to success and oversees customer opportunities throughout the sales cycle.Successful outbound sales to enterprise organisations in South Africa and other African countries.Prospecting and qualifying leads as both a seller and sales leaderUse of CRM and commercial tools to manage pipelines and activitiesDesirable :
Experience in selling HR / Talent Assessment / SaaS-based and Subscription-based Solutions into top companiesThe candidate must have the right to work in South Africa
