Full ownership of IFRS 17 implementation, reconciliation, and reporting across the group
Collaborate closely with actuarial, risk, and finance teams to ensure alignment from source data to GL and Risk Integrity systems
Prepare and own financial statement disclosures, including cash flow statements and notes for Group and Life
Lead the IFRS 17 budgeting and forecasting process in partnership with actuarial
Engage in monthly variance reporting and support strategic decision-making with clear insights
Ensure full compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory reporting standards including SAM, QRT, SARB
Drive ongoing process optimization, documentation, and best practices in financial governance
Take the lead in technical finance projects, including due diligence, new regulation interpretation, and policy development
Build strong, professional relationships with external auditors, BU heads, and senior leadership through consistent delivery and high-quality output
Contribute actively to a high-performance culture by mentoring colleagues and championing best-in-class finance standards
Skills & Experience :
You have proven experience in IFRS 17 financial management, ideally within insurance or financial services
Youre recognised for your ability to manage high-stakes reporting, audit interaction, and regulatory deadlines
You value rigour and consistency, but also bring a mindset of innovation and process improvement
You lead with quiet confidence, bring structure to complexity, and handle pressure with resilience
