Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic Assistants

Job descriptionAssist mechanics in repairing and servicing earthmoving equipment. Provide tools, parts and equipment during repairs. Perform basic maintenance tasks (oil changes, filters, cleaning components). Help with disassembly and reassembly of machinery parts. Ensure workshop cleanliness and organization. Record parts used and assist with inventory checks. Support with loading / unloading parts and equipment. Follow all health and safety standards in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities :
- Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification.
- Basic mechanical knowledge (engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, etc.).
- Ability to use hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Physically fit to handle heavy equipment and workshop tasks.
- Willingness to learn from senior mechanics and supervisors.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Adherence to safety regulations and workshop procedures.
