Job descriptionReview and evaluate design documentation Prepare preliminary & detailed estimates Formulate bills of quantities & contract documentation Financial evaluation of tenders Administer cashflow forecasts, cost reports, variation orders, valuations, contractual claims, etc. Prepare & negotiate final accounts Attend meetings Formulate, review and analyse repair estimates Prepare viability studies, damage costings & determine value at risk Liaise and cooperate with multi-disciplinary teams (Project Managers, Architects, Engineers & Quantity Surveyors) Interpersonal communication skills Attention to detail Computer literacy (Strong in MS Excel) Time management Estimating Budgeting Procurement Cost Control Negotiation Quality assurance Cooperation & Coordination
Overview / Description
The position is for a Professional Quantity Surveyor at a multi-disciplinary consulting firm. The successful candidate will form part of the Quantity Surveying department and will have regular interaction and collaboration with the Architecture and Engineering departments.
Requirements
- BTech or Bsc degree in Quantity Surveying
- Professional Registration
- 6 to 10 years working experience
- Valid driver’s license
