It Systems Administrator

Experienced IT Systems Administrator with a strong background in virtualization, directory services, server and network infrastructure, backup & cloud technologies, and system administration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMWare, Veeam, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft Office , along with at least 6 years of relevant experience in the field Manage and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMWare ensuring optimal performance and availability of virtual machines.

Administer Active Directory services, including user management, Windows Servers, group policies, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell and other directory-related tasks.

Deploy, configure, and manage cloud services and resources in Azure, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Office services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration tools including hybrid Exchange setup.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades and patches to ensure system stability and security.

Manage cloudflare Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and data.

Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support various projects and initiatives.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.

Maintain accurate configuration information (CMDB) Perform tuning to ensure optimal application and systems response Perform regular system health checks Configure and maintain systems maintenance plans Perform preventative systems maintenance tasks Perform system upgrades as required from time to time Test application and systems recovery Manage projects, upgrades and implementations from time to time.

Manage Root Certificate Authorities Experience in management tools Experience in PowerBI 6 years of experience in IT system administration roles In-depth knowledge and experience with VMWare virtualization platform.

Strong proficiency in managing Active Directory, including user and group management, group policies, and DNS / DHCP.

Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and resources, including Entra ID, VMs, storage, and networking.

Proficiency in deploying and managing Office services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and task automation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Matric ITIL V4 VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Microsoft Certified : Azure Architect Expert Veeam certifications Pure storage and Dell certifications (advantageous) Cloudflare
