BMC Social Media Specialist
Role Overview
We are looking for a digitally savvy Social Media coordinator, with skills in Digital Account-Based Marketing (ABM). This role combines the creativity, digital automation marketing, analytics and key stakeholder management. You will manage our social media calendar and channels, and the tech which they run i.e. Hootsuite, coordinate and prepare short and longer social activations with the project team(s), advise BMC on social listening and the latest tools needed for this; provide regular reporting on platform and campaign performance; advise and run paid LinkedIn activations for business, products and our spokespeople. Our channels include LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook (and TikTok in time). You will work closely with our Digital Manager who runs ey.com; and report to the Head of Communications.

Social Media
- Support conceptualisation and planning of social activations
- Brief creative components to the relevant team
- Write copy where relevant
- Collaborate on activations, copywriting and creative components where relevant
- Work with marketing automation to support digital account‑based marketing
- Support the execution of paid campaigns via LinkedIn
- Maintain the social media calendar
- Apply SEO and AIO (AI‑driven optimisation) techniques to improve content discoverability and engagement, and work with BMC to ensure keywords are driven end‑to‑end through content

3‑4 years, with at least 2–3 years in ABM and paid campaign management (particularly LinkedIn). Experience working in a professional services firm. Connected to and experience in working with influencers.

The role is based in Sandton, South Africa and forms part of the Africa Brand, Marketing & Communications team, which is responsible for external brand and communications, design, digital communication, events, thought leadership, alumni programme and internal communication. The Brand, Marketing and Communication team forms part of Accounts & Business Development (ABD) in Core Business Services. The Africa region is a single business spanning 33 countries and includes over 260 partners and 5,000 people. The Africa region is one of the largest and most diverse businesses in EY and is made up of four service lines : Assurance, Consulting, Tax and Strategy and Transaction Services.
