Duties and Responsibilities

• Financial Records Maintenance : Keep accurate records of all financial transactions in compliance with South African financial regulations and IFRS.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the creation and management of budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Tax Compliance : Calculate and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with South African tax laws (e.g., income tax, VAT, payroll tax).
• Provide tax planning advice to reduce tax liabilities.
• Audit Assistance : Facilitate and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all financial practices comply with statutory and corporate policies.
• Financial Analysis : Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, financial risks, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Cash Management : Manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity for operational needs.
• Compliance and Governance : Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations; implement and monitor financial controls.
• Stakeholder Communication : Communicate financial information and advice to management, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement : Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
