Job purpose :

The Linux Systems Operations Administrator position fits into the 1-grid technical team who is responsible for automating securing and maintaining reliable systems and network infrastructure. An emphasis is placed on supporting our Premier customers with technical queries dedicated and VPS support systems automation stability and efficiency. 1-grids systems and infrastructure include our office and datacenter environment which house our hosting infrastructure network and support systems critical for the day to day operation of 1-grid.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Resolving premier customers technical support queries
• To provide 24 / 7 monitoring of company infrastructure and systems
• Analysing & troubleshooting systems
• Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data centre environments
• Backup integrity management (Ensure availability and restorability)
• Patch management
• Adherence to security and privacy processes
• Documentation of systems and processes
• Ensure optimal system performance and optimization
• Escalations from support departments
• Inventory management reporting any requirements and shortage to procurement team based on minimum re-order levels.

Qualifications and Experience :

Paarden Eiland Western Cape : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
